Attending ASEAN-Korea AI Youth Festa 2023
Hi friends,
So few weeks ago I was invited to share my story in Korea for the 2023 ASEAN-Korea AI Youth Festa on 5-6 September that was held in conjuction of ASEAN SUMMIT 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia,
I was invited as to share my experiences studying in Korea and share insight and aspirations regarding how AI can strengthen the relationship between ASEAN and Korea.
Let me share some pictures and how the event was held. The events pictures
The event was actually for the young AI startups from ASEAN to share innovative ideas, their business. The event revolves around the theme of “ASEAN’s Prosperity through AI.”

After all the final round and votings, the last part is the Meet and greet.
I was really shock that the President of Korea, 윤석열 대통령 also attend the events.
So I shared my story infornt of the President. that was really a shocking moment
Let me share some behind-the-story:
Actually, I didn’t know that the President Yoon was going to attend the event. The organizer just said that there will be a “special guest”, even in rehearsal they didn’t explicitly say who gonna come.
When sitting and waiting on the stage, I asked the person sitting besides me, Yejin Choi (최예진 대표님) from DoBrain,
“Are we waiting for President?”
“President, like 대통령, President?” .
Even after that, I was still thinking “Which President? Indonesia? Korea?”.
And yep, I was stiff head to toe.
It was a combination of stress, lack of sleep, remembering all the point of speech, and (a little bit of) excitement.
Luckily, it went well. I did improvise (a lot).. Thanks to the countless experiences of performing, MC-ing, teaching, public speaking.
Lastly, It’s really an honor for me to share the stage with the President of Korea, in front of the ministry of both countries, where I had the opportunity to share my experiences studying in Korea and share insights and aspirations regarding how AI can strengthen the relationship between ASEAN and Korea.
